Antique Wooden Apple Butter Paddle with Steel Hardware

The kind of thing that spent decades over a copper kettle at a fall butchering. This is a full-size apple butter stirrer — a long flat wooden paddle base with four round cutout holes, joined to a tall upright rod with a hole for a looped cord for hanging. The steel bracket connecting the two is bolted through the wood and shows honest surface wear. The paddle measures approximately 21" long from the heel and the full standing height is roughly 39". Wood is dry and worn with some checking and old staining, as you'd expect. All the hardware is intact and the piece stands on its own. A genuine farmstead piece, not a reproduction. *Generated with Gavel AI — please ask questions if the description doesn't seem right.
