Standing Liberty Silver Quarter, 90% Silver

A classic piece of early 20th-century American coinage — the Standing Liberty quarter, with Hermon MacNeil's bold design of Liberty stepping forward through a gateway, shield in hand. Both obverse and reverse are clearly visible in the photos. Details: - Series: Standing Liberty Quarter - Date: not legible in photo — verify in hand - Mint mark: not visible on reverse — verify in hand (location: reverse, left of eagle) - Denomination: Quarter Dollar - Composition: 90% silver (all Standing Liberty quarters are pre-1931) - Design: obverse — Standing Liberty with shield and olive branch; reverse — eagle in flight Circulated with moderate to heavy wear; date area on obverse is worn flat, which is extremely common for this series. Eagle and lettering on reverse still readable. Honest silver content regardless of grade. The Standing Liberty quarter was only minted from 1916 to 1930, and the date wore off so quickly on early strikes that the Mint actually recessed the date in 1925 to help it survive — a rare mid-series design fix. *Generated with Gavel AI — please ask questions if the description doesn't seem right.
