Anti-snipe: bids in the final 2 minutes push the deadline back by 2 minutes — no last-second wins.
A two-blade folding pocket knife from the New York Knife Company of Walden, New York — one of America's great 19th-century cutlery houses. Both blades are open and functional, with the straight-line tang stamps clearly reading "NEW YORK / KNIFE CO / WALDEN" on the master blade and "NEW YORK / KNIFE CO" on the secondary. The handle is warm amber bone with a shield inlay and brass end cap, measuring just under 3½" closed per the ruler. Details: - Maker: New York Knife Company, Walden, NY - Production era: 1856–1931 (straight-line stamp, no Hammer Brand logo) - Blades: Two — clip master blade and spear secondary - Tang stamps: "NEW YORK / KNIFE CO / WALDEN" (master); "NEW YORK / KNIFE CO" (secondary) - Handle: Amber bone with shield inlay, brass end cap - Closed length: approx. 3½" Both blades show age patina and light surface oxidation consistent with honest use and storage; the bone handle is intact with no cracks. A solid example for a pocket knife collector or anyone chasing early American cutlery.
