Description
A matched pair of vintage cast metal bookends, each standing 4" tall, cast in a classical architectural motif — columned portico, arched pediment with foliate detail, and a small figural scene at center showing what appears to be a scholar or craftsman at work. Heavy and solid, the kind that actually hold books in place. Dark patinated finish shows age and honest wear consistent with vintage use. No chips or breaks visible; surface has the expected oxidation and light scuffs of an older piece.
