Description
A striking piece of early 20th-century American advertising art — a circa 1918 Luxite Hosiery magazine ad illustrated by Coles Phillips, recently matted and framed behind glass in a wood frame. Phillips was known for his elegant "fadeaway girl" style, and this example shows it well: a graceful woman in a flowing dress, bold yellow and blue background, and the tagline "Hose as Shapely as the Curves of the Figure." Framed size is 18½" wide by 22½" tall. The print itself shows age-appropriate toning; frame and mat are in good condition. A nice find for advertising art or illustration collectors.
