Description
A vintage aqua blue canning jar by Retongue & Bros. Co. Inc. — the "Lustre" line out of Philadelphia, PA, embossed right on the glass in a nice script panel. Wire bail closure with the original glass lid, both intact. Stands roughly 5 inches tall based on the ruler in the photo. The aqua color is that classic old-glass blue that collectors go after, and the embossing is sharp and legible. Wire bail shows surface rust and age, as you'd expect, and there's some interior residue, but no chips or cracks visible in the glass.
