Vintage Enamelware Bed Pan & Chamber Pot, Jones Relax / Columbia

A pair of vintage white enamelware pieces that take you straight back to the days before en-suite bathrooms were a given. The first is a Jones "Relax" Bed Pan No. 500 by The Jones Metal Products Co. of West Lafayette, Ohio — white enamel with a black-trimmed opening and the original red oval label still intact and very readable. The second is a white enamelware chamber pot / slop pail with a bold red rim and wire bail handle, bearing a partially intact paper label reading "Columbia — Serving the Home Since 1871" out of Terre Haute, Indiana. Both pieces show light age-appropriate wear; the bed pan's enamel is clean and bright, and the chamber pot has some light surface marks and minor rust at the handle brackets. A solid pair for a medical antiques collector or anyone decorating with vintage farmhouse enamelware. *Generated with Gavel AI — please ask questions if the description doesn't seem right.
