Antique 1910s Drey Perfect Mason Quart Jar - Sun-Colored Amethyst Pink Tinted Glass
Up for auction is a beautifully preserved piece of early 20th-century Americana: an authentic antique Drey "Perfect Mason" quart-sized canning jar featuring a highly desirable "Sun-Colored Amethyst" (SCA) pink hue. Manufactured by the Schram Glass Manufacturing Company circa 1910–1915, this jar was formulated with manganese, which acts as a clearing agent in the glass mixture. Decades of natural UV exposure have solarized the manganese, turning the glass a lovely pale pink/lavender tint that shows beautifully in natural light. The front displays the iconic bold, embossed stylized cursive "Drey" script underscored by "PERFECT MASON". It comes complete with its original, authentically weathered gray zinc screw-on cap. **Condition Details:** The jar is in excellent antique condition with no structural cracks or major chips. The embossed lettering is crisp, raised, and sharp. The glass body exhibits beautiful period-correct characteristics including trapped air bubbles and an authentic faint pink/lavender coloration that glows under natural light. The original zinc lid shows a lovely oxidized patina and threads onto the rim smoothly. **Dimensions:** * Standard quart size (approximately 7 inches tall with lid attached).
