Description

A solid example of the Franklin half — one of the most beloved silver coins of the mid-20th century. Both the obverse portrait and the Liberty Bell reverse show good detail with honest circulation wear. Details: - Date: 1954 - Mint mark: Philadelphia (no mint mark — verified on reverse) - Denomination: Half Dollar - Series: Franklin Half Dollar (1948–1963) - Silver content: 90% silver, pre-1965 Circulated with moderate wear; lettering and bell detail still clear, light surface marks consistent with age. A nice 90% silver piece. The Franklin half dollar was struck from 1948 to 1963 — the series was retired the year after JFK's assassination to make way for the Kennedy half, giving it a short and tidy run that collectors still chase today. *Generated with Gavel AI — please ask questions if the description doesn't seem right.
